KUALA LUMPUR: Aizuddin Sapian atau 'Din,' 23, telah menghadapi kesukaran apabila motosikal tunggangannya telah mengalami kegagalan fungsi pencucuh api di Plaza Tol '50 sen' kira-kira jam 7.30 petang disini, tadi.

Beliau langkah kanan kerana pada ketika itu kawannya turut menunggang motosikal lain bersamanya untuk pulang ke rumah. Setelah percubaan untuk membaiki motosikal buatan Kriss itu gagal, rakannya telah menunda motosikal terbabit ke rumah yang kebetulan tidak jauh dari lokasi kejadian.

Buat masa ini, motosikal tersebut masih belum dibaiki memandangkan kedai motosikal berdekatan sudah tutup dan bekas lulusan Ijazah Undang-Undang UiTM itu berkata, "nampaknya kalau motosikal ini tak boleh diperbaiki lagi saya akan menumpang kawan saya untuk ke Balai Berita New Straits Times Press (NSTP) esok," katanya semasa ditanya sebaik mengalihkan motosikal.

Islam di Malaysia

Sebelum saya melanjutkan tulisan ini, saya harus mengatakan bahawa persepsi negatif terhadap penulisan saya ini adalah dijangka. Apa yang saya katakan, tidak bagi saya untuk menilainya sebagai kebenaran muktamad dan mutlak, tetapi cukup untuk mengatakan, orang akan menjadi sangat teruja dengan perasaan memanggil orang lain sebagai murtad dan mungkin melabelkan pandangan saya ini sebagai ‘liberal’.

Malaysia dibentuk atas dasar bahawa ia adalah sebuah negara demokrasi dan Raja Berperlembagaan, hal ini dapat ditelusuri dalam Perlembagaan Persekutuan, cukup kata. Kontrak sosial yang dituntut oleh kaum tertentu rakyat negara ini mengatakan bahawa Melayu adalah pemilik negara ini dan mempunyai kawalan politik atas rakyat disini. Hal ini menyebabkan mereka mengatakan kepada kita bahawa negara ini adalah negara Islam kerana mereka diberikan lebih kuasa politik melalui pemeliharaan socio-ekonomi Islam ke atas penduduk majoriti Muslim yang tidak boleh disentuh atau ia akan menjadi isu sensitif.

Jika kita benar-benar melihat gagasan tentang Islam, yang harus kita fahami ialah perkara sangat asas yang diperlukan dari sebuah negara Islam. Dalam Islam, yang paling tertinggi adalah Allah, tuhan yang Esa. Dalam segala sesuatu yang seorang Muslim lakukan adalah diusahakan dalam melayani tujuan dari keberadaan adalah bagi Allah. Sebagai satu negara, diletakkan Tuhan pada keadaan dan layanan sederhana. Sebuah negara Islam akan meletakkan undang-undang yang paling tertinggi mengakui Allah adalah kuasa yang tertinggi dan tidak ada yang lain. Ini akan membawa kewajipan yang lain dipercayai diharapkan dari sebuah negara Islam, untuk memiliki undang-undang Allah diamalkan dan dianggap sebagai undang-undang Agung sesebuah negara.

Tapi apa yang kita miliki di Malaysia adalah sebuah negara yang serupa dengan negara-negara demokrasi berparlimen, contoh yang diambil dari sistem Inggeris dan mempunyai undang-undang umum dalam diamalkan dan diandaikan sebagai undang-undang tertinggi bangsa (lihat kes Che Omar Che Soh v. Government of Malaysia: mahkamah meletakkan Perkara 3 Perlembagaan Persekutuan yang menyata Islam sebagai agama rasmi negara hanya bersifat rasmi dan tidak dalam apa cara membawa implikasi yang menjejaskan undang-undang jenayah sedia ada). Hal ini jelas dilihat dalam Perlembagaan. Walaupun Perkara 3 Perlembagaan Persekutuan menyebut Islam adalah agama persekutuan, tetap wujud peruntukan-peruntukan lain yang akan memaparkan bertentangan dari makna penggunaan ayat dan bahasa Perkara 3 tadi.

Melihat amalan undang-undang di negeri ini, undang-undang Islam adalah diamalkan dalam cara yang sangat aneh, melalui Mahkamah Syariah, mempunyai bidang kuasa yang sangat terhad pada umat Islam, seperti hukuman boleh dikenakan terhadap pesalah mahkamah Syariah kepada nisbah 2:3:6 atau membawa maksud tidak melebihi RM 2,000 denda, penjara tidak melebihi 3 bulan dan tidak melebihi 6 sebatan dalam satu kes.
Jika ini yang harus diperbandingkan dengan apa undang-undang awam dan awam dari negara ini yang membolehkan dalam bidang kuasanya dalam menjatuhkan hukuman terhadap pesalahnya, ianya seperti membandingkan langit dan bumi. Masih orang mengatakan bahawa Islam berlaku, di sini saya tidak melihat

Islam berlaku, saya melihat Islam dicabut dalam cara yang sangat memalukan!

Para penguasa terus mengatakan bahawa mereka telah menjadi pelindung Islam, kata penguasa (bukan merujuk kepada Sultan) melainkan kawalan politik yang dinikmati oleh kerajaan yang berkuasa, tetapi kenyataannya mereka telah gagal melaksanakan tanggungjawab tersebut. Islam bukanlah berkisar membina masjid besar, Islam adalah bila anda boleh melakukan anda tidak hanya dengan janji dan kata-kata mengatakan bahawa anda ditegakkan Allah sebagai segala sesuatunya yang paling agung yang lain, untuk kekal menjadi bertentangan dengan undang-undang yang bukan Islam pada hakikatnya. Hal ini tidak wujud di negara ini.

Kembali ke isu negara Islam, tapi di sini penulis merasakan seperti berbicara tentang tanggungjawab orang Islam di negara Islam dan negara ‘kuffar’ (negara bukan islam). Di negara Islam, sistem di mana orang di dalamnya adalah Muslim, mereka harus menegakkan setiap prinsip dalam Islam termasuk dalam undang-undang dan pentadbiran, tetapi di negara kuffar anda tidak mempunyai tugas seperti itu, seperti apa yang perlu anda capai adalah anda lakukan kewajipan asas terhadap Allah, iaitu doa-doa anda, puasa anda, zakat anda, sejauh yang dibenarkan oleh negara bahawa ketika anda berada dan mempunyai perlindungan di negara itu.

Melihat kedudukan umat Islam disini, penulis tidak berfikir bahawa kita sebenarnya hidup di negara Islam, cara nyata dan sederhana untuk mengatakan itu adalah bahawa kita hidup di negara kuffar, mengapa kerana rasmi kami bersumpah untuk melindungi perlembagaan sebagai undang-undang yang paling tertinggi di negara ini, dan perlembagaan kami mengatakan, sebagai negara demokrasi, bahawa orang yang paling tertinggi bukan Tuhan, meskipun bahawa pemimpin sebelum ini meletakkan klausa dalam RUKUN NEGARA, ’Kepercayaan Kepada Tuhan’ sebagai salah satu unsur yang paling penting kerana merupakan yang pertama yang harus disebutkan, masih, yang tidak menafikan kenyataan bahawa negara ini tidak mengakui Allah sebagai kuasa tertinggi melainkan rakyat itu sendiri (prinsip demokrasi “Government of the People, by the People, and for the People”).

Hal sedemikian adalah satu perkara yang boleh diterima memandangkan pada waktu negara kita mencapai kemerdekaan lebih 50 tahun lalu kita dibawah kongkongan koloni penjajahan Inggeris yang memaksakan pengamalan sistem perundangan mereka. Selain itu, setelah lebih 50 tahun kita telah pun terbiasa dengan sistem sedia ada dan adalah sesuatu yang sukar untuk merubahnya (lihat isu perlaksanaan undang-undang yang mendapat respon negatif pengamal undang-undang sekarang).

Salah satu cara terdekat yang mempunyai kesan besar adalah dengan merubah cara respon kita (orang Islam) terhadap segala kritikan yang dilabel terhadap orang Islam. Melihat masyarakat islam di negara ini, kebanyakannya mempunyai respon negatif dan bukan bersifat kompromi contohnya isu penggunaan kalimah ‘ALLAH’ dalam gereja dan penterjemahan kitab ‘Bible’ (Injil) kepada Bahasa Melayu.

Penulis berpendapat, kita umpama orang India yang ‘mengamuk’ apabila perkataan ‘pariya’ digunakan dalam novel ‘interlok’ tanpa menghiraukan kebenaran perkataan tersebut mengikut perspektif sejarah. Seperti kedua isu yang penulis sebutkan tadi, respon kita yang bersifat melarang yang juga ‘mengamuk’ adalah tidak relevan memandangkan perkataan ‘ALLAH’ turut merujuk pada tuhan agama kristian dan fakta dimana Allah dalah tuhan untuk ketiga agama ‘Samawi’ (langit atau wahyu) merujuk kepada agama Islam, Nasrani dan Yahudi.

Jika kita bersifat kompromi dalam hal ini, bagi saya sudah tentu mesyarakat bukan Islam bukan sahaja menghormati kita malah terpikat dengan sifat agama Islam yang toleran. Segala kerisauan terhadap pengaruh agama Kristian yang kini ‘diMelayukan’ sepatutnya ditangkis dengan menguatkan jatidiri umat Islam sendiri bukan dengan menghalang dengan cara yang kasar daripada pengaruh yang relevan dari segi sejarah dan fakta itu berlaku.

Pendek kata, penulis bukanlah ulama untuk mengulas panjang bagaimana hendak kuatkan jatidiri umat Islam – serahkan sahaja pada ramai ulama dan cendekiawan Islam kita sekarang, yang boleh memberi cara yang lebih spesifik untuk tujuan ini. Penulisan ini hanyalah perasaan dan pandangan terhadap memperbaiki persepsi untuk menarik minat terhadap Islam dalam perjuangan memastikan penerimaan majoriti terhadap undang-undang Islam.

Malu gagal potong 'queue' tol lakon samseng guna 'walkie-talkie' takutkan Din

SHAH ALAM: Seorang pemandu kereta Satria Neo bewarna 'silver' apabila berlakon samseng guna 'walkie-talkie' untuk tujuan mengugut ketika memandu di Federal Highway bersama 'aweknya' gelabah apabila malu setelah cubaannya untuk memotong barisan kereta yang menunggu untuk membayar tol gagal.

Menurut seorang rakyat Malaysia yang bukan sesiapa Aizuddin Sapian atau 'Din', 23, "waktu itu ramai orang telah sampai dulu dan sabar dengan beratur, tetapi amat mengejutkan apabila pemandu kereta Satria Neo, yang waktu itu bersama 'aweknya' telah cuba untuk memotong barisan di Plaza Tol Batu Tiga," katanya yang telah menyebabkan pemandu Satria 'Silver' itu ketinggalan setelah cubaan memotongnya gagal.

Namun pemandu Satria itu kembali membuat kacau apabila cuba mencucuk Din yang pada masa itu sedang memandu kereta 'Lancer' biru lalu terpaksa berhenti meneruskan cubaannya apabila Din brek di tengah lebuh raya yang sibuk ketika itu, menurut saksi yang tidak mahu dinamakan.

Din pada itu berkata, " saya brek sebab dia main cucuk belakang, saya fikir setelah cubaan memotongnya tadi gagal dia berhenti, tetapi setelah saya brek dia potong kanan dan waktu itu saya lihat dia yang sebelum ini tidak bersongkok tiba-tiba pakai songkok dan seolah bercakap dengan 'walkie-talkie'," katanya merujuk pada kelakuan pemandu Satria itu yang gelabah apabila dimalukan tadi.

Din tunjuk 'fuck' kepada pemandu van cuai

KUALA LUMPUR: Seorang rakyat Malaysia yang bukan sesiapa Aizuddin Sapian atau nama singkatnya 'din', 23, menempelak dua orang pemandu di Federal Highway disebabkan pemanduan kurang ajar kedua insan malang itu disini, tadi.

Menurut saksi yang tidak mahu dinamakan, "pada ketika itu saya nampak kereta 'Lancer' biru milik Din sudah bagi lampu isyarat untuk masuk lorong tengah dari kiri telah brek secara mengejut disebabkan van putih masuk ke lorong tengah dari kanan tanpa beri lampu isyarat" katanya yang ketika turut berada di tempat kejadian.

Namun pemandu cuai van tadi menerima padah apabila Din 'mencucuk' van tersebut dari belakang dan telah memotongnya melalui lorong tengah lalu menunjukkan jari tengah sebagai tanda amaran dan luahan perasaan kemarahannya terhadap pemandu itu.

Din yang ditemuramah selepas kejadian di Jalan Bangsar berkata, "saya ini bukanlah jenis yang suka berbuat demikian, saya terpaksa, ialah saya 'cucuk' dari belakang macam takda respon, itulah sebab saya potong kiri yang beri isyarat 'fuck' menggunakan hati saya supaya pemandu van itu perasan yang saya ini tengah marah," katanya ketika tiba ti sebuah restoran Mamak di Jalan Bangsar disini, jam 8.56pagi tadi.

It is one of my greatest regret not being able to watch them play live at the Bukit Jalil stadium. After watching the match at Indonesia at one of my friend's house I cannot say anything else but ride on my bike tour around to see the celebration happening at KL city.

I was so amazed seeing the groups at one of a traffic light juncture in Cheras - all wearing the yellow national squad shirt and honoring our flag while shouting the Malaysia Boleh! solgan, everyone else was cheering - that moment brought strangers together.

Well, I am not going to write much but to continue riding in KL to see more of the celebration.

Well, I am glad to say that I am still unemployed after Two (2) Weeks search for a decent job. I have to say that securing a job is not something that everybody finds in the list of their likings. But, at this moment I am still waiting for some response, whether from government or the private sector - whichever comes first.

I am not so frustrated being at this position as yesterday I learned from one recruitment consultant that it is normal at the end of year, employers are not looking for admission of new employees but rather to attend to other matters such as closing of account, giving of bonuses, and many other affairs of a company.

It is also not a bad news, now not being able to get a job, I work on my own as a computer specialist, dealing primarily into repairs of computers and laptops, formatting, and many other related services. I find myself happy doing this business as although I am fresh, I have began to have my own frequent customers who continues to give me more business opportunities.

Maybe one of the reason that why, customers are coming fast is that because I offer a very cheap price for repairs and formatting. Recently I went to a computer repair shop and inquire about how much they charge for workmanship alone - it's RM 45-00, excluding the percentage that they will take from the hardware replacement and other charges. I said to myself, fuck - it's damn expensive. As for me, my price is far below market price, for computer repairs I only charge RM 30-00 for all kinds of repairs no matter how difficult it is. Please look below to have a clear comparison of my price and market price:

MARKET

format & drivers - RM 60.00;
repairs - RM 45.00 (workmanship);
hardware - (hardware original price + percentage); &
transportation - customers' own initiative.

MY PRICE

format & drivers - RM 40.00;
repairs - RM 30.00;
hardware - only hardware original price (even original receipt is given to customer!); &
transportation - RM 10.00.

So, maybe from what I offer above, no wonder why I receive customers so fast and at a constant and increased rate. I am quite satisfied that I am able to sell something below market price!

Aside from above, right now, I have just had a meeting with the father of one of my friend concerning being an insurance agent. After the meeting, I am quite surprised that insurance agent do make good money - depending on how hardworking they are.

From that moment, I thought I should take this insurance business to be my part time jobs. If we look into this matter, insurance is something where you buy - those who has an insurance will benefit. Look at the world today, cost are rising, government hospitals are offering below par standard service and most important is today is the day where to secure some saving is extremely difficult.

To look at it, given these problems, insurance is a good way to secure any man living in today's world. If one finds it difficult to save - they can save through insurance as more personal financial discipline can be imposed. If one jumps into mischief - trouble, insurance is there to cover for hospital bills and even give you daily allowance by staying at hospital alone as you are not working. I something bad happened to you - no worries, insurance is there to back you up.

I myself will take an insurance next months, a bit on savings and investment - I am still young I may not opt for medical insurance - maybe there's no need for it, right now - I guess...

It is not easy to make a choice about your work...

I has been three years and six months time for by Bachelor of Legal Studies, which supposedly end within that three years but I took extra six months to get it done. Still I am not sure what is the outcome, these two last subjects is giving me all the headache as to the time you have to extend in order to complete this degree.

I can say that those who extend at the end of their degree time - they lost many things as I do, most of all, friends, they are not gone forever, it is just that they go on their separate ways as we and those who pass in time just do not have the same concern.

I am still waiting for my results for these last two subjects, one of which is my third seating paper, I do not know, how it is possible for me to sit for this paper three times and the other one of which I spoiled on study before exams. It's pain to fail a paper that you cannot find a way to fail.

But there are some good news despite being a loner now, extension with only two subjects allowed me to work and I have gotten myself my first property that is my bike, quite expensive, but I am dying to afford to pay for this bike now. Every time I look at my pain all the pain is just gone, compensated by its beauty, it is like your love when you love something you brace the pain and you love doing it.

Now, I am at a crossroad, to figure what to do afterward. It's weird that I used to forecast and devise plans for others but when it comes to me facing my own options - I am unable to decide, I do not know what I want. What I am sure of and make me move is that in this world all of us will have things to bear and to be accountable for. This is the only reason - as for now - give strength for me to continue.

Not just that it's nice and it's fast too, I had the chance of tapauing one yamaha fz150i at seremban highway recently, that bike dont stand a chance!

But of course, my bike cannot tapau superbike, the same day from melaka, while i was speeding at 150km/h at the highway, two kawasaki ninja er-6f coming from behind, they are damn fast, I was down a bit then and took the left lane, what to do, I swear to good, when i'm a bit settle in my life, i'm going to buy a suzuki hayabusa or equivalent to that.

But seriously, the speed of my bike i decent, i can chase a malaysian waja, of course with a lot of effort with the winds coming on my face. I realise that, my free helmet don't offer much help, when i'm fast, there's tendency for the helmet to come off but still better than i had with me previously.

But people say, the speedometer on the bike is not that accurate, the reading fastest i've gone so far is 200km/h but I can say that in that moment you hear nothing but wind blasting your body and i get scared easily, cars that are so far away getting close to you real fast.

Now, I do speed but not to that extent (200km/h), only when necessary. On cornering, I still have yet to master how to do it fast, I think i should take it slowly, if accident, need money to repair the bike some more, hahhaa... but still today at federal highway at the exit pusat bandar shah alam, i tried that corner, not so fast around 70-80km/h, the feeling is orgasmic! hahaha...

now i do not know what to say some more, in simple, the speed is making me crazy!

Rokok price hike: Good thing but bad for me!

It was yesterday that I had the chance to buy my last pack of winston-red-20's (hope this will be the last), I prepared enough MYR 7.80 and I was informed by the shop guy, "...not any more, now it's MYR 8.50..", in my heart I said "WTF!", then immediately I tender extra cash for it.

"Insane!", the proper word to use to describe this hike, but what can all smokers do, it's not a good thing (to smoke) after all. Now, I'm setting my mind to quit smoking, what I do, I roll the cigarette myself, hope by the time comes, I should be able to lead this life cigarette free.

Those who know me out there, pray for my success, truly I can save a lot by not smoking winston today. I save MYR 8-50 today, that's a great value, hahaha...

my new bike: kawasaki kips 150cc

i just can stop myself from telling people that i'm buying this new bike...

initially, what i had in mind was that i should have one nice bike for me to as i'm giving up using car as the cost is too much to bear (toll/gas/maintenance/road tax & insurance), unless i own myself a brand new car with less maintenance problem...

i inform my father about it, he was mad at me, telling me not to buy a new bike, but, i've been saving to buy a new car, now that i don't want a car, i want a bike instead, i hope he'll forgive me for chasing my dream and believing in it...

not long ago i place an order for yamaha fz150i, i was so excited as nothing much that i know about this bike except that it has a nice mean naked look, not long afterwards, i discovered that they are few other bikes that close in price range that is better than this lc upgrade version of yamaha (honda cbr 150/ kawasaki ninja 250r)...

one of my friend suggested that i should get a nice beginners sport bike (kawasaki ninja 250r), i was on the lookout for almost a week, luckily it was not too late for me to discover that the cash otr price for this 250r kiwi bike is rm 22,800-00 - which is totally beyond what i can afford...

then the second day of raya, i had the chance to meet one of my cousin, an ex rempit, he suggested me that it is such a waste if i buy the yamaha fz150i, he explained the details, among others, not fast (p/s: this kiwi krr 150 can go up to 205km/h!) - i was quite suprised, immediately i changed my order to this kiwi kips bike fr rm 10,000-00 otr...

Rising Cost of Living: Danger to us all...

Again, it has been a long time since i opened this blog, but I cannot prevent myself from writing this one.

To think about it, I can feel how the grip of inflation is strangling my neck and ours. God, what happened?

I came across one ads in the paper, Berita Harian today about some investment scheme for retirement, about how your children cannot, in the future, support you as everything when it comes to money is not the same as before, the money the we and/or they get is not enough for them alone.

I find that nowadays, its very difficult to secure a job, a decent one. Even if you've secured one in my field, law, still, it cannot in some ways, accommodates you - comforts. I heard, salary for a lawyer, beginning is only around RM 2,000-00. Think again, you might want to buy a car, a house, insurance (life, car-related, and others), utility(s)' costs, and daily consumption. Looking at these, you think how much a person can save for a month from what he gets?

Tun Dr. Mahathir recently said that, raising the income of the mass - has its drawbacks, specifically on the devaluating of our currency. He proposes that it's not the salary of the mass that should be increased but, the capability of our legal tender (money) to afford more things than what it can afford now. Seriously, I'm missing on this, hope, anyone can explain how it works.

I've also came across this notion of expansionary monetary policy, where the government spend for material developments so that the economy grows, opening more opportunities to the people to work and have more money.

I've also came across that people say, now there are too many players already in any business field, which makes a person who try from scratch to be a big one, is totally difficult. I say this is a bad luck to the current young generations.

It's disappointing to hear all of these, one man also said to me, nowadays the best thing to do is, to get a job and not to do business. He said, it's better one obtains a secured income and with moderate spending, so that saving is a reality. This is to me so discouraging, I don't know how to put it.

All in all, I don't know what I am trying to say, what is clear to me is that, "alamak, susahla macam ni"...

I just want to share will all who reads this blog about our current prime minister. It has been awhile since the last time that I make comments about our politics. Because of that I may not be as critical as I once before.

I believe that the announcement made by the PM recently, giving a hint that election will be near, is a correct approach to be taken by Barisan Nasional. As you can see, the economy is improving, job markets continue to slowly improve in a way that it offer (slowly) job opportunities to the people. The general community at large has reasonable power of buying, making small businesses continue to stay on the fight. All in all, I say the economy is getting better, with a lot of offer by the government to lure investors and to create an utopia of business here.

Looking at the opposition, I believe that they are stupid, primarily because they are given 5 years time to prove that they are worthy government to few states, but they failed, they are unable to prevent the power strike and respect upon each others decision about what is best for the state. Although the states concerned performed well, I must say that political discrepancy is very dangerous in any political structure as it will likely to affect the state as well.

I do not understand why, these people are so week, come on, 5 years is not so long for them to sustain, be strong on each other, tolerate the pain - in facing challenges from the Barisan Nasional aligned party. Now that they have failed.

LLB oh LLB...

I am sure that almost everyone who take law degree in itm Shah Alam would have the desire to pursue the LLB one year course but I must say that I feel sad as now I am among those who are now stranded with various reasons.

But people say, there's 'hikmah' at the end of the road, yeah that is true also as now i have a decent job, and the pay through time is gettin decent everyday - somehow this help me to get rid of this disappoinment...

I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate all my fren and the people that i know for their success of taking llb this semester, i pray that they have success and a great future a head...

Tahniah Barisan Nasional

Saya ingin ambil kesempatan ini untuk mengucapkan tahniah diatas kemenangan Barisan nasional dalam pilihanraya kecil di kawasan Hulu Selangor baru2 ini. Memang ternyata bahawa Barisan Nasional telah berjaya memulihkan imejnya dikalangan rakyat negara ini. Kepada penyokong parti Pakatan Rakyat, jadikanlah apa yang berlaku tempohari sebagai pengajaran supaya harapan membawa perubahan di Malaysia tercapai.

Saya menulis ini bukan hanya semata-mata untuk mengucap tahniah kepada Barisan Nasional, tetapi saya mempunyai mesej kepada pendukung dan penggerak dalam Pakatan Rakyat - sesiapa yang berkenaan.

Adalah sesuatu yang menyedihkan melihat apa yang telah berlaku kepada Pakatan Rakyat baru2 ini. Tindakan keluar parti yang banyak dilakukan adalah sesuatu yang tidak boleh diterima lagi. Mungkin suatu ketika dahulu bahawa siapa yang keluar parti akan dilabel sebagai pengkhianat kepada pilihan rakyat, yang secara umumnya menyokong parti daripada calon itu sendiri. Tetapi sekarangt sudah terlalu ramai dan masyarakat umum tidak lagi memandang tindakan keluar parti itu merupakan satu langkah yang paling akhir atau bukan satu kebiasaan. Ini adalah amat merbahaya memandangkan bila rakyat sudah menunjukkan kemampuan untuk memaafkan ahli2 yang lompat, ini menunjuk bahawa Pakatan Rakyat semakin hilang pengaruhnya.

Seperkara lagi berkenaan dengan Parti Keadilan, bagi saya parti ini sakit, kerana terlalu ramai ahlinya yang keluar parti. Sebagai parti yang menjadi jambatan kepada dua parti kaumj utama iaitu PAS dan DAP, kewibawaan parti Keadilan sepatutnya lebih membanggakan, tetapi realiti sekarang amat menyedihkan. Terlalu banyak kenyataan yang dikeluarkan oleh orang2 bekas PKR tentang buruknya Anwar. Realitinya tidak mengapa bila orang lawan seperti parti UMNO mengutuk pembangkan, tetapi kalau bekas pembangkang sendiri yang mengutuk pembangkang, ini sesuatu yang tidak boleh dibiarkan kerana mereka mempunyai peluang untuk mempengaruhi pemikiran rakyat berkenaan dengan kebolehan untuk menerima cerita.

Kini saya fikir DSAI memang lemah kerana tidak dapat mengawal orang dalam parti sendiri, jikalau PKR tak mau ubah mungkin impian untuk menang pilihyan raya seterusnya akan berubah.

Berkenaan dengan Barisan Nasional, rakyat kini mempunyai perasaan yang dingin terhadap pakatan, bukan sahaja Barisan sudah berjaya memulih persepsi, malah Batisan Nasional kini sudah sedikit demi sedikit mengambil apa yang telah diperjuangkan oleh Pakatan Rakyat. Contoh, lihat konsep 1 Malaysia - kalau takda penerimaan rakyat terhadap konsep Malaysian Malaysia, sudah tentu tidak akan ada slogan 1 Malaysia ini. Lihat perkara lain, dalam hal kebajikan rakyat, Barisan nasional sudah nampak mengambil berat terhadap kebajikan rakyat - lebih2 lagi kerajaan bawah pimpinan Najib, memang telah berjaya menawan hati rakyat. Banyak lagi hal2 yang kerajaan telah berjaya dan jika Pakatan Rakyat masih gagal membuktikan kemampuan mereka menjadi alternatif kepada kerajaan Barisan Nasional, sah memang next election, Pakatan kalah.

Disebalik Tabir: Majlis Pra-Graduasi Fakulti Undang2 UiTM

Saya menulis post ini untuk memberi gambaran dan maklumat mengenai majlis pra-graduasi yang telah diadakan semalam. Saya juga ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada ahli jawatankuasa majlis yang telah melaksanakan majlis tersebut dengan jayanya. Walaupun pelbagai halangan yang mereka hadapi, apa yang telah saya saksikan malam tadi adalah satu bukti bahawa memang orang2 yang menjalankan majlis tersebut bukan calang2 orang kerana halangan yang mereka hadapi adalah amat sukar.

Salah seorang daripada ketua pelajar, N, batch tersebut sepatutnya mengambil tanggungjawab untuk menjalankan majlis tersebut, tetapi beliau tidak mahu melakukannya demi menjaga kepentingan para pelajar lain. Pada pandangan beliau, pelajar part tersebut adalah sedikit liar - oleh kerana risau akan reputasi para pelajar terjejas di mana para pentadbir dan pensyarah, beliau tidak melakukan majlis tersebut.

Tugas untuk melaksanakan majlis tersebut kemudian diambil oleh seorang lagi pelajar, A, yang hanya mempunyai masa kurang dua bulan untuk menjayakan majlis tersebut. Pelbagai pandangan dicari, sama ada dari segi kesesuaian, tempat, kepuasan pelajar dan sebarang permintaan. Boleh dikatakan hampit sebulan masa digunakan untuk merancang, mendapat kelulusan proposal, mengumpul tenaga kerja yang terdiri daripada pelajar sendiri dan memilih tempat.

Tugas2 ini adalah amat sukar, walaupun nitijahnya agak mudah, keadaan masa yang suntuk, kerenah (permintaan) yang ada, dan kekangan2 lain menjadikan tugas memulakan majlis ini, merupakan antara perkara yang paling susah untuk dilakukan. Boleh kata, kalau dulu ada masalah tak sampai sakit kepala sampai sebulan, tapi kali ini hampir sebulan, kepala mesti akan merasa sakit.

Tidak lama kemudian tugas tersebut digalas oleh orang lain, A, diatas sebab2 tertentu, orang sebelumnya, menarik diri. Ternyata kehadiran orang ini di dalam ahli jawatan kuasa merubah segalanya, bajet dapat kelulusan dan perancangan yang lebih rapi dan telus telah dilakukan. Memang terbukti bahawa orang ini adalah seorang insan yang hebat, tetapi sehebat-hebatnya, orang tersebut telah jatuh sakit dan terpaksa duduk berehat untuk maktu sekian lama.

Dalam keadaan tersebut, ketika dalam masa yang akhir2 sebelum majlis tersebut berlaku, 2 orang dari ahli jawatankuasa, (P & A), telah mengambil tanggungjawab, tenyata mereka adalah penyelesai masalah yang rumit, walaupun hanya tinggal beberapa hari sahaja, mereka telah berjaya menggerakkan ahli jawatankuasa terhadap tanggungjawab masing2 dan sehingga pada hari2 akhir, pelbagai masalah yang timbul dapat deselesaikan dan hasilnya dapat dilihat pada malam tadi - kelancaran majlis, makanan yang sedap, para pensyarah dan pelajar yang amat berpuas hati.

Inilah yang saya maksudkan sebagai manusia2 yang hebat, mereka berjaya melaksanakan majlis ini dengan jayanya - segala konflik telah diatasi dengan bijak dan matang, tahniah saya ucapkan sekali lagi kepada semua ahli jawatan kuasa.

Tetapi izinkan saya menyatakan beberapa kritikan disini, kepada yang berkenaan:

1 - Kegiatan membawa cerita hendaklah difikirkan dahulu sebelum dilakukan, siasat dahulu kebenarannya, fahami dahulu bahawa memang betul bawa cerita atau pun salah faham, selepas itu barulah mengambil tindakan masing2, jangan terlalu cepat melenting - kerana kadang2 perkara yang tidak benar dan perkara yang berasaskan salah faham menjadi sumber perpecahan. Dalam mengambil tindakan, janganlah terlalu ekstrem, setiap orang yang waras, akan punyai sebab munasabah untuk melakukan sesuatu, berkomunikasilah dengan cara yang baik, tak perlu hendak terlalu ofensif atau terlalu defensif - kedua2 pihak memain peranan.

2 - Hormatilah, segala cadangan atau permintaan, walaupun tidak munasabah, hendaklah ianya dihormati - tidak semestinya kita menghormati sesuatu cadangan yang kita perlu mengikutinya. Apabila kita belajar menghormati cadangan dan saranan, ia sebenarnya akan mendidik kita agar bersikap sederhana dan tidak terlalu defensif untuk mempertahankan diri kita., dan sebagai kesan melahirkan suasana yang tenteram kurang konflik.

3 - Kotakanlah janji kita, jikalau satu pihak telah melakukan satu pengorbanan besar untuk tindakan dari pihak yang satu lagi, maka adalah tidak wajar pihak yang satu lagi untuk mengkhianati perjanjian tersebut. Ingatlah, apabila satu pihak tadi sanggup melaksanakan satu pengorbanan besar - maka ia beranggapan bahawa pihak yang lagi satu itu mempunyai kualiti yang amat tinggi dan amat diperlukan, adalah kejam untuk meninggalkan perjanjian tersebut.

4 - Bersederhanalah dalam semua hal, kita tidak rugi apa2 kalau bersikap sederhana, malah kita amat beruntung kalau bersikap demikian, bukan sahaja kemahuan kita dipenuhi, malah orang lainb pun tidak jadi marah - kita hidup didunia ini mungkin lama atau sekejap, mahu atau tidak akan berjumpa, jikalau ada sakit hati itu, maka jumpa pun tak sedap, ini adalah satu keadaan yang merugikan kedua2 pihak.

Itulah pandangan saya berkenaan majlis ini, keseluruhan, majlis ini berjaya memenuhi objektifnya - fakulti mahu akademik pengisian dan pelajar mahu keriangan sebelum berpisah untuk semester akhir bagi sesetengah pelajar. Yang masalah bukan hal kerja, tetapi sikap dan hati kita.

Saya pohon maaf jikalau ada pihak yang terasa makan hati, tetapi percayalah, apa yang saya tulis ini bukan untuk mengutuk tetapi lebih untuk berkongsi pendapat saya dan nasihat sesama kita, saya pun bukan sempurna dan terbuka kepada teguran.

I find politics is boring nowadays...

For some reason that I can't explain, I find myself not fond of politics nowadays, I do not know the reasons, but what I can say is, you look at my blog and you see nothing is updated on politics...

But there some things that I must share with all of those who still read my blog. I have been so busy doing things, where I have motive behind it, when it is bad, I find myself prevented to achieve any success that can be measured monetarily. All what I get are only values, which I don't really know whether it is good for me or bad.

I must also say that I am at the crossroad of my life, I know that they are many things that I must choose, but somehow, I am unable to make the choice, even if I know a choice is right - most of the time, I do not have the courage to do so, and when I have the courage to make that choice, it is already too late.

That is why, I am writing now, to ask favor from all who can help, family and friends, I need support, I am not strong and I take what people say seriously. So, if anyone out there who can help me, any kind of help, I welcome you and I'll very happy to consider.

Satu Cadangan kepada Kerajaan Barisan Nasional

Ekonomi kini, walau dalam keadaan yang kurang selesa, tetapi boleh dikatakan bahawa ia stabil untuk negara. Walaupun begitu rakyat terutama golongan berpendapatan rendah masih lagi tersepit dengan peningkatan harga barang. BUkan itu sahaja, graduan universiti juga sukar untuk mendapat pekerjaan yang tetap disebabkan pengembangan ekonomi yang perlahan.

Atas sebab diatas saya mencadang agar kerajaan mengambil langkah proaktif yang lebih besar untuk mengembangkan ekonomi langsung memberi peluang pekerjaan kepada rakyat. Apa yang boleh dilakukan, kerajaan jika tidak mahu mengguna tanah di dalam negara, perlu melakukan pelaburan yang besar di negara2 membangun dan cuba untuk menghantar rakyat negara ini untuk bekerja disana sama ada dalam bidang professional atau pun buruh.

Banyak sektor perniagaan yang boleh diterokai, contoh, di Indonesia, kita boleh meningkatkan pendapatan pertanian dengan menggunakan tanah mereka yang luas dan tenaga pekerja mereka yang murah, tindakan yang di ambil oleh Tabung Haji untuk melabur di Indonesia adalah satu cara yang patut dipertingkatkan lagi. Bagitu juga PETRONAS yang melakukan cari gali di luar negara.

Di dalam negara pula kerajaan perlu meneruskan projek2 mega, kerana ia akan membarikan kontrak yang amat banyak. Dari kontrak tersebut akan lahirlah lebih banyak peluang2 pekerjaan dan juga peluang2 perniagaan sama ada sewaktu penyiapan projek mahupun setelah projek siap, semua lapisan masyarakat akan dapat menikmati dari peruntukan yang diberikan.

Anatar aprojek2 nesar di dalam negara yang boleh saya namakan disini adalah penggalian terusan antara sempadan Thailand dan Malaysia yang akan membuka peluang pekerjaan yang amat besar, bukan sahaja ia akan menghasilkan peluang pekerjaan yang besar malah peluang perniagaan dan pelaburan luar tanpa henti.

Dalm usaha memberi kemudahan kepada rakyat, kerajaan boleh memecahkan monopoli peruncit dan pemborong dalam pembekalan barangan asas kepada rakyat. Kerajaan boleh menubuhkan satu syarikat francise yang mampu untuk memberikan barangan asas pada harga murah dan juga peluang pekerjaan yang banyak dari segi pengurusan, penghantaran, pembantu pemasaran dan juga pembantu kedai. Konsep kedai seperti ini patut mampu dicapai oleh segenap besar masyarakat.

Utusan Malaysia tidak adil!

Sudah lama saya tidak menulis di blog ini dan tulisan ini adalah rentetan daripada kecenderungan akhbar utusan membawa berita seruan daripada golongan ternama kristian sendiri supaya menarik penggunaan kalimah Allah sebagai rujukan kepada tuhan.

Baru2 ini saya pun telah menulis di dalam blog saya yang lain bahawa tiada masalah besar kalau mereka nak guna nama Allah nak rujuk pada tuhan, sebab yang saya beri ialah memang terbukti di dalam sejarah bahawa Allah adalah perkataan universal masyarakat arab terhadap rujukan atau panggilan terhadap tuhan.

Tetapi saya rasa terpanggil untuk menjelaskan lebih lanjut berkenaan perkara ini, kerana pada penulisan terakhir saya tulis atas pagar, di sini biar saya nyatakankan pandangan saya. Saya tidak mempunyai masalah orang kristian Malaysia mahu guna nama Allah sebagai rujukan terhadap nama tuhan diatas sebab2 berikut:

1 - Tidak wajar umat Islam kini rasa tercabar kerana pada zaman Nabi S.A.W. dahulu dikalangan masyarakat arab, tidak sekali pun Nabi S.A.W. membantah orang bukan Islam yang beragama selain Islam menggunakan nama Allah sebagai rujukan kepada nama tuhan mereka. Malah masyarakat arab dahulu, sama ada Yahudi atau Nasrani tidak menolak bahawa Allah itu tuhan malah tuhan yang mereka sembah (tetapi telah menyimpang, walaubagaimanapun, mereka tetap sembah Allah), mereka hanya menolak mengapa Nabi S.A.W. diturunkan dikalangan arab jahiliah sehina-hina, sesesat-sesat kaum pada ketika itu.

Jikalau pada waktu tersebut ditika Nabi S.A.W. hidup tiada bantahan pun terhadap penggunaan Allah, dari mana kita dapat justifikasi bahawa Allah itu ekslusif nama tuhan orang Islam. Bukankah Kristian juga sembah Allah sama seperti zaman Nabi dahulu, dimana dulu ada tritini sekarang pun ada triniti yang dibawa (diubah dari asal) oleh Saint Paulus.

2 - Sebab kedua saya ialah, tidak lain dan tidak bukan bahawa tiada justifikasi untuk larang orang Kristian guna nama Allah sebagai rujukan pada tuhan bukan datang dari agama tetapi dari ketakutan yang ada pada sesetengah orang Islam yang berbangsa Melayu yang mempunyai maslah infeririti kompleks sejak turun temurun dari nenek moyang mereka, bila golongan ini mempunyai kuasa sedikit ia tidak boleh dicabar walaupun mereka sebenarnya golongan yang paling patut menyokong tindakan itu. Contohnya ialah, tentang hal guna nama Allah oleh orang Kristian ini, dahulu Nabi S.A.W. tidak pernah larang, tetapi sekarang entah mane2 mereka belajar atau pikir, tiba2 orang kristian tidak boleh panggil tuhan mereka dengan nama Allah.

3 - Sebab ketiga adalah tiada faedah kita melarang mereka berbuat demikian, sudahlah keadaan kita lemah sekarang dengan pelbagai tanggapan negatif yang dilemparkan terhadap Islam, kita hanya memburukkan lagi keadaan yang mengakibatkan seolah-olah Islam ini sempit betul, kurang ilmu dan langsung tidak toleran. Sudahlah Nabi S.A.W. tidak melarang, kita pula nak sibuk2 larang di atas dasar hukum yang kita sendiri wujudkan. Perlulah untuk saya nyatakan di sini, janganlah kita rendahkan martabat agama Islam itu sendiri dalam usaha kita untuk protektif terhadap bangsa kita, kerana saya percaya Nabi S.A.W. atau Allah S.W.T. amat marah akan tindakan ini.

Sekian, Islam itu indah bukan alat untuk segolongan bangsa yang takut pada bayang2 sendiri.

Perak's MB Crisis: Between Legal Standing & Emotion...

I have made several remarks concerning the Perak MB's crisis. I am not changing the stand that I am taking of which I disagree with the finding of the court that it is suffice by the action of the Royal to pick a new Menteri Besar that at the same time it causes the effectiveness of non-confidence motion against the previous Menteri Besar.

The court on that particular situation was faced with the question whether the appointment of the new MB is valid in the absence of the motion of vote of no confidence. The court decided on behalf of the Barisan Nasional that appointment alone suffice to constitute that the previous MB have lost its majority. It was reasoned that extraneous circumstances revolving in Perak in connection of the event of the appointment is sufficient to consider that the previous MB have lost his majority.

There was reference made to the case in Sabah or Sarawak where a particular State Minister challenge the validity of resignation of the Chief Minister, in which he argued that only through the vote of no-confidence that can show a State Chief Minister cease from office, as such the court on the Perak's MB case, decided that in this situation the fact that the Chief Minister resigned is the extraneous circumstances taken to constitute that the Chief Minister cease to have office.

The application of this case is rebuttable in its application to the case concerning the Perak's MB crisis where the case which was relied on is where the Chief Minister tendered resignation letter but in Perak, there was no resignation letter tendered, as such if the correct interpretation of this case were to be used, it can be deduced that in event where there was no voluntary resignation made, extraneous circumstances cannot be applied, this the act of appointing the new MB is invalid.

On the vote of no confidence, this is the only method available to oust an Executive leader in a parliamentary system, when he refuses to resign when he does not command the support of the majority, this is the position provided by numerous Indian cases that I can't remember their names. So, here, although that BN in Perak may have the majority of assemblymen, they must put foward the motion of no-confidence as this is the only way to constitute a valid sacking of the current Menteri Besar of Perak, only through this manner that the respect upon the rights of the people in Perak is honoured, through the trust that they have placed in their representatives.

But since, the act of the Royal to appoint new MB is where the court bases its support, clearly the decision made transgressing the rights of the people of which this country belongs to. It defeats democracy and allows Royal anarchy in this country that supposed to have been a constitutional monarchy. I never disputed the right of the Royal to select the MB of their own choice but that can only be done after the decision of the people is honored.

I have a few videos that I have taken from the UMNO official website, judging the conduct of Pakatan Rakyat members in response of their protest over the appointment of the new BN's MB. I think their conduct is something so extreme and should have not happened, it is such a regret from them to be selected, but despite their conduct what should prevail is the right of the people.

The recent election in Bagan Pinang is something that is considered as beyond comprehension. It goes against the current political trend today. It is really difficult to understand, what actually causes BN to win? Is it because of Pakatan Rakyat’s inability to show unity? Is it because Isa is greatly pictured by the locals? Is it that Indians have chosen UMNO because of the respect given towards Makkal Sakti? or Is it because of the success of the plan of building better Malaysia through Najib’s concept of 1Malaysia? Din, the results shown are so clear that people want Barisan Nasional back into power. I go everywhere and people today discuss about politics everyday, including those at mamaks stall, mid-aged makcik, and not to forget the bus driver as well. They are getting into Malaysian politics after the 12th general election because of the stumbleness and loopholes left by many political parties not to mention those who have durhaka to the King.

Obviously many of them are from Pakatan Rakyat leaders. What to mention? Its like a bunch of them. I can’t find one good leader from Pakatan with valuable contribution except for Zulkifli Nordin. Yes he had done a lot to the Muslim and the Malays. Its not too much for me to say that he is Pakatan’s saviour. Without him, Pakatan will lose even bigger.
So what actually these Pakatan leaders have done in the past two years?

1.
They form blogs to insult the Royalty.
2.
They kill those who will discover their secret activities.

People are not stupid. All I can say that, Pakatan has left TGNA out of control and therefore his statements are being subjected to jokes and this is one of the consequence of causing their defeat.

Those remanrks that i made is not because i don’t actually understand the underlying cause of bn’s victory, it is just a statement of regret that the people there have chosen Isa from UMNO, in which Isa should not be blamed but the perwakilan at UMNO general meeting are at fault, they are the one who accepts Isa’s money and sacrifice their trust to represent their people…

It is very sad that the people don’t realize this, they are actually supporting UMNO leaders who are selected by those perwakilan that are not fit to be in UMNO, now that when the UMNO Perlembagaan changed giving no quota, more politicians in UMNO will play money than before where not all capable to contest…

Don’t say that the people are rejecting the Pakatan Rakyat all over as Bagan Pinang is BN’s stronghold equally to N9, Isa once ADUN there for a long time, that it is of no dispute that he is generous – where I don’t intend this to imply that he is corrupted, it is the Isa factor that is the major factor causing this win…

It is something that I must admit that certain Pakatan Rakyat members are stupid as they cannot maintain good relations between theselves, a sign of flaw, which to me the Pakatan must address and that the leaders have somehow address, look Karpal and Hadi once quarrel, now that they are good, in Selangor recently, issue has been settled by Tan Sri Khalid, it is clear that Pakatan is new and that their key persons are working towards unity…

On fighting for pigs and temples, those who condemns these actions in saying something that is against Islam, Islam preach freedom of religion, remember tiada paksaan dalam Islam which applies to the non-Muslims, so for non-Muslims to have temple shouldn’t be a problem, istead it must be embraced where only through this the beauty of Islam is reflected…

Bagan Pinang: The outcome is everything...

I have made numerous remarks about the lection in Bagan Pinang, now to stop making it, let me just put it all here so there is no need for me to keep on saying about it all the time.

Bagan Pinang by election is very important because I believe that if the Pakatan Rakyat can win here, there is no doubt that they may be the federal government one day. Negeri Sembilan has always been the place that was once regerded as one of UMNO strongholds aside from Johor. If we were to look at the 8th general election, the swift was so clear that UMNO not just not that strong anymore but is heading to its destruction.

It is of no doubt that the supports of the non-malays will definitely go to the Pakatan Rakyat because they had been consistent in fighting for equality for all races in this country. But what make me say Bagan Pinang is important, is that it will show, who actually will be chosen by the Malays, whether UMNO or the Pakatan Rakyat, as such despite the votes of the non-Malays will be the determining factor, the dfference of the vote will reflect Pakatan Rakyat's chance of winning the next general election.

Some may say that Isa Samad is a famous man there and that he is highly regarded by the locals. I think this is not true, if I am not mistken, during the Mahathir's reign despite the people of Negeri Sembilan supports UMNO, they don't view Isa as an old and strong favourable factor but rather a disease that is difficult to get rid of. It was lucky for the people of Negeri Sembilan when Isa chose Mohamad Hassan to replace him.

Mohamad Hassan on the other hand is a man of progress, before his rule, Negeri Sembilan had an abundance of money but under Mohamad's administration, those money are spent, not we can see alot of progress in Negeri Sembilan. He is a thinker of some sort, where he always preach his ideas of how can we go futher. He is also good in a sense that, when he go on campaigning for the election, he'll rarely crticize people personally but he focus on what should be done for the benefit of all. He also strive for the change of Malay negative cultures. I do have the confidence that if Mohamad Hassan were to campaign for Isa, there are some handsome possibility for Isa to win. But as a piece of advise, the regime of which he is staying now is going down because they don't give way to changes, I suggest that Mohamad join Pakatan Rakyat, only here his voices of change will be heard by the leaders but not in UMNO.

Back on Isa, I believe that people don't vote because of the candidate, people will look at the party at large, only that a person is so good, like Shahrir Samad, Mohamad Hassan, Tengku Razaleigh, Zaid Ibrahim, and not many more, where people vote because of the candidate. The indication was people now vote according to the party line, this is reflected with the recent general election where Samy Vellu and Shahrizat were defeated at their constituencies. Shahrizat to me is very good at performance but the desire of the people to reject UMNO were to strong to be shadowed by Shahrizat's good reputation. Now we have Isa, when he was the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan was highly critisized by the supporter of government and further involved in bribing the UMNO delegates to become UMNO's naib presiden, I think judging from this respect Isa is going to lose.

As for UMNO, they will lose, because they say and admit the need for change but they never acted as such they are heading to that direction, still they have no respect for the mutual respects with a country with different race composition. Pakatan Rakyat will win because they are supported by almost all non-Malays and most of the Malays as UMNO promise to help Malays, they don't do so anymore now and that is why they keep on harping on UMNO's past glory and contributions.

Semester Ini: Mencabar...

Pada semester lepas saya mendapat pointer yang agak rendah dan mengikut kiraan jumlah pointer terkumpul, semuanya, 2.72. Walaupun ada ura2 yang mnegatakan bahawa kalau dapat 2.70, tidak akan ada saringan untuk memasuki honest, tetapi keadaan ini tetap merisaukan. Walaubagaimanapun, tidak apa yang boleh dilakukan untuk memperbetulkan ini, kerana periksa semester lepas telahpun berlalu.

Azam saya semester ini adalah untuk datang kelas selalu seperti masa awal2 dahulu, kerana melihat akan keadaan pointer yang begitu amat tak cukup makan, memang perlu kepada selalu datang kelas untuk memperbaikinya. Malangnya, situasi yang sama berlaku dimana masalah kurang datang kelas menjadi lebih teruk, walaupun saya patut sepenuhnya dipersalahkan, tetapi izinkan saya menyatakan penghalang2 untuk ke kelas:

1. Pada awal semester, dalam 3 minggu pertama, ada halangan, iaitu, masalah kelas tak tetap dan tak pasti, seingat saya adalah dalam 5 ke 6 kelas saya ke fakulti dan ck untuk pergi kelas, disebabkan banyak sangat komplikasi, sampai 5 atau 6 kali tak jumpa kelas atau tiada kelas.

2. Habis sahaja minggu2 tersebut masalah baru timbul, iaitu cuti semester awal, alasan mencegah penularan wabak H1N1, pada ketika ini saya masih sihat, tetapi diakhir cuti tersebut saya demam selama 3 minggu dan hanya punyai MC selama seminggu, banggalah juga kerana walaupun demam tiga minggu, hanya seminggu shaja nampak sakit, yang lagi dua minggu dah biasa, alhamdulillah pulih. Jadi waktu minggu2 selepas cuti inilah waktu sukar sangat nak ke kelas, demam, memang tak sedap badan.

3. Selesai demam, masalah baru muncul, saya telah digigit beruk di punggung di Taman Pertanian Bukit Cerakah, rasanya tak sakit, tapi proses pemulihannya memang sakit. Sepatutnya hanya seminggu diperlukan untuk pulih, tetapi luka kena infection dan makan totally dalam 3 minggu untuk baik, alhamdulillah baik, tetapi banyak kelas saya tak dapat datang, walaupun begitu saya tetap mengikuti perkembangan kelas dengan bertanya dan melakukan study sendiri.

4. Setelah lama sangat tempoh masalah dengan kelas, akhirnya walau tidak ada masalah memang susah nak ke kelas, ketika ini waktu tidur pun dah berubah, siang tidur malam berjaga. Walau saya dah cuba nak kembalikan waktu tidur tidak berjaya, hanya sedikit sahaja kelas yang saya pergi namun saya tetap mengikuti apa yang dipelajari.

5. Hanya selepas raya, dapat dipulihkan tidur, hari ini pun sepatutnya saya pergi ke kelas, pagi tadi saya bangun lambat, disebabkan malam tadi tiada tempat tidur dan untuk kelas bersama dr bahrain, masa nak pergi hujan, saya dapat hantar mesej tak dapat hadir, disebelah petang patut ada kelas juris pukul 2pm, tapi saya tak datang disebabkan malas, dah sehari tak pergi kelas, jawabnya, tinggal satu kelas langsung tak pergi, to be honest, minyak motor pun tiada nak ke kelas, sedihnya...

Sekarang, mengapa saya katakan semester ini mencabar?

1. Dengan pelbagai masalah yang ada tadi, memang mencabar, saya akui kalau ada semangat kuat, semua itu tidak ada hal, tapi saya harap saya kuat, tetapi tidak...

2. Masalah dengan lecturer, tak tahu sama ada boleh pass satu subjek ni ke tak, aku akan berusaha sendiri, serahkan pada tuhan pass atau tidak, tuhan itu maha adil bukan?

Vote PAS: You'll be in heaven

The issue is simple, this is the result that a person should get when he support Islam. Islam have prescribe everything in our way of live, even on the manner of how this country should be administered and how the constitution should be. We have a constitution that says, 'this constitution is supreme law of the land, other law against or contradictory, ultra vire, thus becoming null and void, Art. 4 of the Federal Constitution. We have in the constitution that says, this country is a parliamentary democracy country, where people are regarded as the most supreme in this country and no other.

We have Islam that says, that you are a muslim and that you are ought to obey all what has been compelled upon you, in which adherance will entitle you heaven but defiance will grant us hell. We have before us that we must in any way upheld what was given by our God through the devine revelation, al-Quran and through the hadith, conduct and teachings of the prophet, pbuh. Our religion teaches us that we must and under duty to protect Islam with our life, if that is necessary. Further Islam only recognise a country that upheld Allah as the most supreme not human or people, that a country must have Islamic law and all things done must in good faith promotes Islam.

When we say that UMNO people does not promote Islam that they are not really into recognising God's law nor that they want Allah to be the supreme authority in the constitution of this country, we can say that when you do this, you go to hell and when you agaist this you'll go to heaven. Al-Quran and Hadith is quite clear on this, so what is wrong by saying UMNO people go to hell?

This issue has been a hot issue for quite sometime. It is very easy to comprehend. We must note that cases of murtad causes a negative impact on the face of Islam, when people convert out of Islam, thus showing the diminishing credibility of faith in Islam. One's faith in Islam is the work of God, as only Him allows or rejects that someone should have this 'hidayah'. We must also remember that murtad is a serious crime in Islam, that it is punishable with death, upon the attemp to revive the faith through advise.

Given the situation and time that we are living in, do you think that we actually can kill those who are murtad, in this country? The answer is no. Another question is, if you don't allow a no more believer to be called as muslim, will that in fact and also to God imply that she is a muslim? Again, the answer is no.

Many people are not aware that by having alot of people who, as to the law, called muslim, but their hearts doesn't give a shit about Islam is something wrong, from logical sense I suppose. Even one of the Malaysian greatest mufti stated that, what is the point of keeping this non-believers as muslim, it will invite more problems and more damage on the face of Islam. If the image of Islam were damaged by the muslims itself, can you imagine the image of Islam where, those who do not believe are called as muslim.

Even, the Syariah Court, in the state of Ngerei Sembilan have granted many application to convert out of Islam, not on the basis that convertion out of Islam is terribly wrong, but to the point of not keeping these people who are faithless in Islam, to be called muslim. Given that we cannot kill this people, still we call them muslim, we are we going?

Myth of Malay Muslims

Have you watched Potong Saga produced by 15Malaysia? Yes, its funny, but full with message. That's a reality happened in Malaysia society. Misconception by non-Muslims, but don't blame them. It is misinterpretation by the Malay Muslims itself. (Yes, I talk about Malay Muslims not Chinese Muslims, Indian Muslims, African Muslims or Mat Salleh Muslims).

Myth No. 1: All Malays born as Muslims. Once you convert Islam, you are convert to Malays too.

The truth is Islam is not an exclusive religion. Its universal, all are welcome to embrace it. No single race in the world can claim such statement. Even Arabs never claim they 100% are Muslims. Just google Arab Christians. Surprisingly Baath Party (ruled by Saddam) founded by an Arab Christian, Michel Aflaq. Plus popular songbird in Middle East, Najwa Karam also a Christian. Interestingly, Jerusalem (situated in Arabs country) house of three holy places for Christian, Jew and Islam. If all Arabs are Muslims, we can see only Islam holy place built there today.

Have you ever notice any Chinese, Indian, African, American, or Australian declared themselves as Malays once they convert to Islam in another country? They still hold their ethnicities and races.

Myth No. 2: Once a Chinese or Indian convert to Islam, you have to change your name into Arabs name and put Abdullah as your father's name.

Maybe Malay Muslims never heard or came across of Hui Liangyu (China vice premier) and Sania Mirza (tennis player). Their name never resembles like "Arabs" but they are Muslims. Hey, Yvonne Redley (reporter once detained by Taliban), Nicolas Anelka and Frank Ribery (both footballers) still proud to be called by their original name after converting to Islam. Even some Malays also having pure Malays name instead of Arabs (eg: Cempaka, Puteri, Dayang, Awang, Tuah) but still Islam.

Apa ada pada nama? As long as the meaning of the name is good, whatever language is allowed.

Myth no. 3: Non Muslims not allowed to use Assalamualaikum. Its exclusive for Muslims, otherwise you insulting Islam.

The fact is Assalamualaikum is word with good meaning, peace be upon you. Widely used in Middle East not only by Muslims but also extends to non-Muslims too. If in Semenanjung, the Muslims quite fanatical on usage of salam, unlike in Sarawak and Sabah. They exchange salam freely regardless of religion.

Myth No. 4: A Muslims must not follow Chinese and Indian cultures, otherwise you are deviate from pure Islamic teaching.

A Muslim cannot eat by chopstick, cannot speak mandarin or tamil in mosque, cannot wear cheongsam, or saree, cannot enter church and temple, cannot paid final respect on Chinese and Indian funeral, . The list goes on.

Hey, culture is unique, to differentiate between one people in one place to another. Islam does recognize culture in its teaching as long as not compromise the believe or faith itself. So, what's on earth a Muslim cannot eat by chopstick even talk Tamil or Mandarin inside a mosque? Maybe Chinese Muslim in China eat by hand like Malays. And maybe Indian Muslims in India and Chinese Muslims in China talk Malays in their mosque too.

Have you ever saw Chinese Muslims in China or India Muslims in India wearing baju Melayu or baju kurung? Ironically Malays Muslims in Malaysia allowed to wear suit, hat and necktie like a westerners.

Caliph Umar even once paid a visit to church in Jerusalem, he even invited by the priest to pray inside church, yet he declines as it will create wrong impression that Islam want to take over the church. Even non-Muslims are allowed to enter a mosque in certain conditions.

It is narrated that Prophet Muhammad stood up when a Jewish funeral procession pass in front of him as a sign of respect among men relationship.

These are examples of several myth practised by Malay Muslims resulted from narrow interpretation.

Maybe they forget, Islam come to China and India long before Tanah Melayu. Maybe they overlook that Muslims in China and India are outnumber Malays. Maybe they disregard that Islam come to Tanah Melayu via Arabs and Chinese (Admiral Cheng Ho).

If war is what they want, then, so be it...

This is a piece of writing that I feel somehow must be read with care and with full understanding. We must never forget the very fact that the world that we are living in today is all based on when most of the people say so. Thus do to this fact, there are some quarters of the societies who are rather called as those who choose the unnatural way of doing things against what is natural as prescribed by God.

God have made it clear that they are certain rules that we must abide in order to serve these purposes that somehow not for us to comprehend because of simple fact that we are not God. We are humans, the extent of our reach is only those as allowed to happen by God, regardless of the fact that those things that goes beyond happen. A simple way to say it here is that, everything happens only at the will of God, despite it go against what God have set the limits before us. As an example, child raping is something not allowed by God, but it happens.

We are only small creatures of all the creatures that was created by God. The logical principle here is that, when a person creates something, he and no other understands his creation and no other at best to tell or comprehend in and absolute way of the concerned creation. This assumption is some rebut-able when it is used on Proton and the cars that they produced but take it this way, Mercedez Benz, one of the top car manufacturer understand very well about its creation, I mean, the cars that they produced, can Proton be expected to understand those creations unless they were told about it. This is an example on humans, now back to God, we will only understand things in this world when God tells us about it, if not, then we can figure it out but subject to the limits that were clearly laid before us.

Back to the advantage of what most people say is correct, I think these quarters of people that I have spoken of, are in the act of desperation, calling others who are actually not them, in their pursuit of some sort of recruitment, thus increasing their support and justifying their way of looking at things and act the way as they deems fit.

Looking at it carefully, it is a clear cut psychological war and if we, those who refer themselves to the natural order of things, unable to see this, we somehow may fall into being them and thus be a victim of their attempts of becoming established and strong, because of having the support of most of the people.

Many may not have the comprehension of what I am trying to say here, just apply it to your everyday situation, it is lucky enough that we allow these people to live with what they believe and feel, if not they may have always end their lives in the gallows in some countries.

Till then, the natural way of thins must be uphold at all cost in necessary...

Islam in Malaysia...

Before I proceed with this writing, I must say that negative comments and perceptions are somehow expected. What am I about to say, not for me to judge as the final and absolute truth, but suffice to say, people will become very incited with the feeling of calling others as blasphemous.

Malaysia was formed on the basis that it is a democratic country and constitutional monarchy, this can be traced in the Federal Constitution, enough said. The social contract claimed by certain quarters of the people of this country says that Malays are the owner of this country, having the political control over this nation. This in implication, tell us that this country is a Muslim country because those who are in-charge more to its political powers are Muslims and well it is guided by socio-economical Islamic maintenance over the majority Muslim population.

If we were to truly look at the notion of Islamic country, we must first understand the very basic required of an Islamic country. In Islam, the most supreme is the one God, that is Allah. In everything that a Muslim do is labored into serving the purpose of your existence for God. As for a country, the country serve God, in its simple language. An Islamic country will in its most supreme law admit that the most supreme is Allah and no others. This will bring in the other obligations supposedly be expected of an Islamic country, to have God's law be practiced and assumed as the Supreme law of the nation.

But what we have in Malaysia is a country akin to parliamentary democratic country, taken example from the British system and having the common law in practiced and assumed as the supreme law of the nation. This is clearly seen in the Constitution. Despite Art. 3 of the federal Constitution states that, Islam is the religion of the federation, still they are many other provisions that will show a contradictory from the literary meaning of Art.3. Looking at the practice of the laws in this country, Islamic law are practice in a very peculiar way, through the Shariah Court, having a very limited jurisdiction upon the Muslims, as such the punishment allowed to be prescribed to the convicted offenders are confined within the limits of the ratio 2:3:6, meaning fine RM 2000, imprisonment not exceeding 3 months and caning not exceeding 6 strokes.

If these are to be compared with what the common and civil law of this country allow in respect of its jurisdiction, it is like comparing the heavens and the earth. Still people say that Islam prevails, here I don't see Islam prevails, I see Islam deprived in a very humiliating way! The rulers continue to say that they have been the protectors of Islam, the word rulers does not refer to the Sultans but rather the political control enjoyed by the ruling government, but in reality they have failed such tasks. Islam is not about building big mosque, Islam is about when you by your conduct not merely by promise and words say that you upheld God as the most supreme over everything else, to be clear against the laws that are not Islamic in nature. This is missing in this country.

Back to Islamic country, but here I feel like talking on the duties of the Muslims in an Islamic country and a kuffar country. In Islamic country, the systems where the people in it are Muslims, they have to upheld every principles in Islam including in the law and administration but in kuffar country you do not have such duties, as what you need to accomplish is your basic compulsory requirements towards God, that are your prayers, your fasting, your zakat, to the extent as allowed by that country as you are residing and having protection in that country.

Looking at us I don't think that we are actually living in an Islamic country, the real and simple way to say it is that we are living in a kuffar country, why because our official sworn to protect the constitution as the most supreme law in this country, and our constitution says, being a democratic country, that people is most supreme not God, despite that our predesessor leader kindly put the clause in RUKUN NEGARA, kepercayaan kepada tuhan as one of the most important element as it is the first that must be mentioned, still, that does not deny the very fact that this country does not admit Allah as master but rather the people.

Now, when the people like Nik Aziz questioned about the extent of how Islam is one over the other, the reference is exactly on the reasons that I have stated above and no other. It is true that none may judge others before God, but here we are living in a real world, where reasons are everything for our existence. Is it suffice to say that we cannot judge others when you have the power of reason to justify such action? To give much clear perspective, God have made promise that those who does not promotes God teachings and rulings will inevitably be in hell? There are guidelines set by God, they are clear, why we refuse to look into them? What actually that we are supporting people for or otherwise?

Whatever you do will not deter you from learning that you are convincing yourself with something clearly not the truth...

Malaysia: Of Malay Supremacy, Democracy, and Islam...

This morning I had a conversation about the Malaysian politics, I must admit that I didn't convey my point well, for that is the reason why, I am here writing what I should have said in the conversation. It has been awhile since I cared so much about Malaysian politics, that now I don't give a shit about it, but the provocation was too strong for me, I have no choice but to write.

Who owns this country?

The concept of Malay Supremacy can only be defined as where the Malays are presumed to be the owner of this country, this impliedly concludes that non-Malays are not owners, despite the fact that they owe their allegiance to this country. My personal stance is, I don't agree with this concept as I believe that everyone have a fair share to a country as a citizen. This is because everyone who declare themselves or given the status of citizenship of this country must to the extent of shedding their blood to defend it, with all cost. So, no one can say that they are more entitled to this country compared to any other citizens, all are equal in this respect.

One may say that the Chinese can return to their motherland, China;and that the Indians can go back to India; still I choose not to agree with this as I have many Chinese and Indian friends who thinks that if this concept is true, then we, the non-Malays shouldn't bother about the fate of this country, that we should center our energy and thoughts to our motherland, after all we are just not suppose to care about this country, when the implication is as such we are returning back to China and India and that imply that we are not the citizen of this country. This statement is enough to prove that there should be no difference as to the ownership of citizens to the country.

Looking back at the pre-independence period, indeed the non-Malays came here as merchants, labourers, imported by the British colonial power, where these immigrants supposedly should return to their country upon the Malays gaining their independence. But this was not the case, the situation was that Tunku Abdul Rahman and the Malays back then has to consider, what will happen if these people were to go back as the Britain will not grant independence nor that we are, the Malays are economically independent without the aid of these people. So, because of these reasons that we now have Chinese and Indians are part of our citizens. The agreement was clear that the Malays surrender citizenship and in return the non-Malays will agree on the condition that the Malays have extra rights with respect to the political power, that comes later in interpretation, respectively in Article 153 of the Federal Constitution.

Now that, we are here for more than 50 years, the generations that was the former of this so called social contract have predeceased us, only a few remains. The question to ask here are, can we really say that these non-Malays still have the desire to return to their original country? Or is it fair for us to presume that they have the opportunity to turn their backs against us by subscribing back to nationalism of their original country? If we are being honest and fair, we will not say such things, the reason that we are saying these things is mainly because that we are jealous of their achievement, there is no doubt about it, selfishness is the key.

100% Democracy is good for Islam

I am a Muslim who think that Islamic Law should be the law that regulate the Muslims and no other, but if I am to stick with this thinking, I am being blind to the reality as we do not have Islamic Law is this country, political leaders may say that this is an Islamic country, but the fact was clearly stipulated out in the Federal Court case of Che Omar Che Soh v. Govt of Malaysia, that Malaysia is not an Islamic country, that Islam is subject to Malaysian Law, meaning, here Islam which suppose to be more supreme than anything else is subject to the rules of this country, it is a shame but, this is the fact.

The fact that we are a multiracial country gives the credit that we should have democracy that should be perfectly practiced, only by this means we have citizens of different races that does not question about other races living in this country, only by this way we can attain peace. Some say that when you have 100% democracy, for the Muslims, they will not hear azan anymore, I think these people are naive about what democracy is all about. Democracy is not just about government selected by the people but it also includes respect upon one another and together coupled with democracy is freedom of religion. Meaning to say if you have 100% democracy, you will have azan on every praying times, because of the respect on freedom of religion.

Another point is propogation upon the Muslims on the ideals of non-Islamic teachings coming from other religions, as when we are in full democracy, other religions may have the oppurtunity to cloud the minds of the Muslims to convert to their religion, like through the media. I think this is true but the question here is what is the best way for a Muslim to be strong in his faith, is it by forbidding negative elements or non Islamic elements from him or is it by, he himself to study and practice Islam with determination and grace, so as for him to have the inner strength to pick and choose what laid before him?

Everyone is well aware that the world we are living in is a globalized world, you cannot expect you children not to see all the negative elements is his life, that they only see good things, if we think this way, we are being ignorance to reality. The only way for us to live in this age is to have a strong inner strength as we cannot forever block all the negativeness that comes in our way. That we must empower our children with the teachings of Islam so that they themselves will have the rejection of the negative elements in an open world. This is a fact, where when you limit everything from your child in your fear that he will be influenced, will do no better compared to not to limit the horizons of your child but to equipped him with knowledge and strength to determine what is right and what is wrong.

Islam in the west is being widely accepted because of freedom of religion, why must we limit democracy that promotes freedom of religion, that in itself promotes Islam? In religion, there are beliefs, a Muslim believe that Allah is the only God and Mohamed (Peace be Upon Him) is his messenger and all Islamic teachings, can you expect a Hindu to believe what are the pillars in Islam? Same to the question like, can you expect others non-Muslims to believe that Islam is the best to apply to them, I mean Islamic Law. I f a person who have a strong faith in Islam will always want the best for Islam.

Let us look into the movie FITNA and the way Muslims all over the world respond to it, most Muslims criticized it like hell because it mocked Islam and the prophet by selectively pick and choose what thought in Islam about fighting the non-Muslims. Fairly speaking, this is expected when something so holy in Islam being subject to criticism but we are being ignorant, but responding violently, what was portrayed in the movie becomes the conviction among the non-Muslims, that now they fear Islam, here we are losing. Islam gain nothing but the feel of winning in arrogance. The same can be seen in Malaysian Muslims, look at the way they respond to the discussion on Islam by non-Muslims in this country. Most of these discussions, the Muslims are invited to have a say, but most of the time we choose to protest outside of the building, I do not think that this conduct is civilized nor it brings any benefit for Islam.

We must remember that Islam is not at the peak as once we were, we are many but we are weak and pathetic. The reason behind this is not the fault of non-Muslims but rather it is our own mistake, we left the beauty of our religion behind. Prophet p.b.u.h. stated that, there will be an age where his people will be like bubbles at the sea, many but useless. Now is the time for us to go back in Islam to make people accept Islam not to chase away the non-Muslims from Islam.

The affirmative action upon the Malays

For more than 30 years that this affirmative action policy is in practice in this country. Well affirmative action is an American term while the British term is positive discrimination. This is done by giving extra rights and assistance to a particular of society to elevate their underrated position. Normally this is done through addressing their economic problem. In Malaysia, this policy is called by the name of New Economic Policy or by the Malay name Dasar Ekonomi Baru.

From my personal observation, I think this policy worked well to elevate the lifestyle of the Malays, as looking back at the initial period of its implementation, the Malays are mostly coming from the agricultural background, and many of them are poor, to an extent of failing to provide the necessity of education to their children. Now, we have many professionals who are Malays. To me it is insufficient just to state the number of professionals, for that is the reason why we must also look at the birth of many Malaysian middle class which mostly consist of the Malays at large. This, to me, can be taken to be the success of this affirmative action policy.

It must also be noted that, DEB, also come with benchmark that the leader back then sought to achieve and specifically speaking, the target of having 30% share of the Malaysian economic pie of the country. For once the Malays reach more than 20% share but the number ever since decreased to 18% now. This indicates that the NEP is a failure.

It is also insufficient to look by the figures. This is to say that I think it is also necessary to look into the collective behavior of the Malays. If we were to make comparisons upon the Malays and the non-Malays, they are inferior in many ways. Their determination is all aspect cannot be matched upon the non-Malays, I believe that it is very true that the Malays should be called slackers. In business, the Malays are very pessimist, they fear taking risk in business, that causes most of the Malays to be hired employees. The most, I should say is very negative, is their tendency to back stab their friends in business and in anything they do. The Malays also don't have faith in Malay businessman which is very important for the advancement of Malay business.

The fact that all of us must bear is that Malays are feeling so contented with what they have, including all the safeguards that exist for them, which supposedly be temporary as promised by Tun Abdul Razak when he announced the implementation of NEP. To me, this feeling of being contented have made us complacent of what we have and the drive to fight for more to cease to exist. This is reflected in the economic performance of the Malays, from a single individual to the larger population of the Malays at large.

Most of us are not producers but users, most of us work with people but not working for ourselves, most of us have this attitude of not supporting our own people when it comes to business, most of our businessman are not as eager as the non-Malays to give the best of our service, most of us easily irritated by the success of others of our own kind to an extent of even bringing our business brothers to their doom, most of us are so pessimist about people who try to make a difference, most of us will have negative perception to those who are trying to be successful in many ways and more...

If we be honest to ourselves, do we, the Malays need this shameful affirmative action assistance? The answer is yes, if all of the traits that I have described just now are the truth that goes undisputed. It will be otherwise, if we believe in ourselves, if we are honest in what we do, if we are as hardworking as the non-Malays. Some may pose the question, the Malays should be helped, if not, what will happen to the villagers and their future. I say that these are the people that must always be helped by the government regardless of their races and religions not all of the Malays who can actually stand up on their own.

Some may also pose the question of what will happen to our children in future, I say we produce a better and stronger and much more resilient breed of our race, where we can boast to others that we are the Malays, that we stand on our own. But if we keep on denying the pride of our race, then the children that we will have in the future will just be similar of those before them, with no improvement and without anything to be proud of.

I believe that all man are equal, subject to the limitations as set by God only, as he only understand his own creation. I also believe that we can be a powerful race as the whites, Chinese, Indian all across the globe, that our number increase with quality and that we help other countries to build their economy like the Chinese in all over the world. But as for now, where are we? Is there anything to be proud of when you can actually walk, but still you are given stick to walk, which will only weaken you.

Obama's speech at Cairo: Addressing the muslim world

It is indeed very interesting to hear what the President of United States have to say about muslims. It is also of no doubt that Obama have successfully used the emotions of the audiences, primarily muslims by reciting few verses in Holy Quran about the common principles of humanity.

I would say, for most of the speech, I couldn't agree more of what he have stated. But on few points, I am very sceptical of what he have stated. One of them is on Iran's right to use peaceful nuclear for energy. He repeatedly say what was always said by the previous President of United States of America, that if Iran comply with the non-poliferation treaty on usage of nuclear weapons, than it is their right to do so. To this point, any President of United Stated, never recognise that Iran is exactly complying with the treaty, the IAEA have conducted investigations and the result is only that Iran have indeed followed these rules. This has never been recognised and the question that we have to offer here is, why the US never attempted to recognise this finding that ultimately prove that they are doing it according to the agreement, which will conclude that Iran is execising their rights?

Another point here is, issue of religious freedom, it is very essential to have people of different religion to respect at one another, that is important, even Islam itself promotes that. But here when Obama said, that it must be a choice of a women to wear hijab, it is just not justified. Indeed, as stated by Obama, America is good at advocating human rights, as they themselves have prosecuted those who try to prevent a muslim women who choses to wear the hajib in America. But when it comes to islam there is no pick and choose, America may say that in democracy we may never pick and choose which to follow and what not, same with Islam, when you are a muslims, a women must cover what is expected to be covered, and this is compulsory, it must be adhered, and to impose law to compel such things is to me, very justified.

The solution that Obama suggested for the issue israeli settlements in Gaza and the Palestinian people right for an establishment of a nation, that Israeli to stop more settlement, and the palestinian people ceasing their attack on israeli citizens. He stated that the road map was clear to provide an end to this problem. But the grave inconclusiveness in respect of actions here is very doubtful, Israeli, through their prime Minister responded on the cease of settlements, is negative, if this does not happen, how does the Palestinian find a reason to stop their violence?

Another point on Obama's critic over use of aggression of the Palestinian people, he said that they will never win, as the world nowadays is not forged through coercion. This is so true when, a country is a position like Iran, where they are fighting for their rights, there is no necessity for them to go to war to have their right. But what happen in Palestine, is that day by day their territory is encroach upon, their citizens are chased away from their homes by the Israeli troops, as such their crisis is an invation to a should be sovereign nation. If America were to be in the position of the Palestinian people, can they be expected to use diplomacy for protection of their own citizens. Obama stated that it is his first duty as the President of United States to protect the citizen of America, America even go to war, to Iraq, admitted by Obama as a war of choice, as in Afganistan, war of necessity to protect their citizens. Look America have gone beyond what they are justified when protecting their citizen compared to what is currently done by the Palestinians.

Despite these disagreements, I would congratulate this President, as it is not easy for him to say what he have said, as all done in capacity of the President of United States. many implications fell upon him to bear, such their interest over the favour of the Jews, the citizens views on how islam be approached, and et cetera.

Some things are just not in our control...

I live this life with a simple goal that is to be determined in what I planned and do. This, somehow imply certainty of success and the least possibility of failure. Of all plans that I have in my life, it is not that they are not successful, it just the time have not yet come for it's success.

Everyday I wake up in the morning, I will think of what to do and I try hard all day long to make it happen. I believe in one this, if I think it can happen, it will happen, most of the time, it was as such.

But what trouble me these days is that, I have become to realize, that they are many things in this world that are just beyond our control, life is the biggest thing, that I want to show, that is beyond our control, no matter what we do, if the time has come, we have to go or those who close to us will have to go too, leaving us to struggle the remaining time of our our life.

I just want to share with all of you about my grandmother, she died because of lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects to lymph system. During the middle semester break, I received news that my grandmother was about to die, I did not want to waste any of my time, accompanied by my friend, Taufiq, went to the General Hospital Melaka, all were there, families and relatives. I can say that I was prepared to see her death.

But few days staying at the hospital, she was released from the ICU and allowed to return home, I said to one of the doctors, why? They simply said, that your family does not want us to treat her, fine, I am a grandchild, what much right did I have back then. So, I stayed with her for a week along the break, not sleeping, watching her, she getting better.

As for me it was a sign of hope, so I tried to call few people that I know to see whether, they are any alternative treatment for cancer, since the conventional treatment was not suitable, considering her body condition. I went back to the university, slightly late, a day, and tried to find people who can help, but in the first week after the holiday, exactly in the early morning, I received a call from my mother, that my grandmother is dead.

I do not know how to describe my feelings then, look she recovered, that is hope, I was looking for aid, she died. Yes, I was prepared to accept her death but not after she showed some signs of getting well. This is one of the thing that is beyond our control.

Another story is about my friend, Rido was his name, still is as he died but not his name nor his memories. We went for a picnic at Kalumpang, Tanjugn Malim, Perak some people say that it is still in Selangor, but that is not the concern here.

Initially we planned to go to Genting, everyone was in financially unstable positions, so some of us worked for money (I hasten the selling of my laptop, while others, tried to make some money, all we know back then, that we do not want to borrow) for all of us can go together, since money was the issue, we change the plan and go for the picnic.

He, my late friend didn't want to go, he refused, saying that he have some work to do and that he wanted to return to his family, but we scolded him, it was not harsh as that is the way among us, he went there together. There, indeed we had fun, the chicken BBQ was great and cheap, thanks to Edy that is, we also had a lot of fun with the water as the current was so strong, normal to be after rain. We went back without any incident.

But exactly after a week we went back, Rido suffered from a fever, we thought it was ok, normal, but it continued for 3 days, so we asked him better to consult doctor, that he did, he was diagnosed with dengue fever. A day after, we planned to take him to the hospital, but he said he will go to the Pusat Kesihatan UiTM, see whether the feel it necessary to sent him to the hospital. Exactly, on friday of that week, after solat jumaat, he bought me some yogurt, we had our time together talking about lives and his intention of quitting from smoking - in fact he did, because he is dead now, unable to smoke anymore.

He asked my help to send him to PK, I said of course, I looked at him, he said he feel sleepy and wanted to take a short nap, fine, take your time I said. Then, I woke up, to check on him, still asleep, tak sampai hati wanted to wake him up, I let him, I fell asleep, I realised I woke up exactly at five, and he is not sleeping beside my on the big bantal busuk, he gone for PK, later I was told he was sent to Hospital Klang. We visited him that night, he was very happy to receive us, we were also happy to be there, I remember that I hold his hand for a long time not to let go, not having any feeling, just playing. Then we left.

The next day, in the afternoon, Shah and Edy went there, they know better as I was informed there they received the last word from him, Edy said he said thank you, that he didn't reply, as it was our way not to say thanks, it can be regraded as not normal to us. He igdored him and went back. Exactly at margrib, Kimuk sent a message to Rido, asking how are you?, he received a reply saying that he was in ICU, by her brother, Kimah, we went to the hospital and we were not allowed to enter as it was not the visiting hour, we went back.

In the car, Edy's car, when we were on the way there, we talked as such Rido is going to die, what happens after death, is was a joke, same as the back, we talked, critized him, Edy said, "ko sakit macam kene kanser", that one I was told after his death. When we arrive at Shah Alam, at 8.30pm, we received call saying that Rido his dead, no one can accept it back then, I rushed to the house telling everybody about it, They don't believe in me, I was very mad, they know better of my expression. Even before that, in the car, when Irna was informed about Rido being admitted to ICU, she didn't believe, maybe because we always make jokes.

We went back and learned that the death was caused by virus called Laptospirosis or Virus Kencing Tikus, that he received three weeks before his death, all of us felt the guilt especially Edy, it was unbearable, I was still able to control myself from grief that night. Let me not describe the details of that night, it haunted us, makes us hopeless. We helped, in what we can do to quicken his arrangements, the are almost more than 50 people there, to wich their last respect, friends, course mate, families, and et cetera.

He was very close to us, his friend from his course told me that he is a lonely person, as he don't mixed too mush with his course mates, he ususally with us, we are his companions, close I think, he is not that lonely because he is with us, dine with us, share enjoyments and troubles with us, he is talkaltive and expressive to us which is against what his course mate to me, why, because he is very very close to us.

It will never be the same again, I'm not sure we will play badminton at HEP anymore, as he was the planner of playing badminton at HEP at the middle of the night mostly.

What happened to him, is beyond my control, i don't know how to describe it, it was just that, I can't really say much, just sad to learn again that it was beyond my control...

Perak's MB crisis: Pakatan Rakyat is rightful

I'm writing this post just to share my point of view regarding this recent Perak fiasco. Indeed, democracy in this country is getting better, meaning to say the developments, or for some, is getting worse as well. No one prefer to live in a country or state where you have a frequent change of government, to me frequent means, today you have a government selected by electorate and tomorrow you have a different government, for various reasons, which to me very obvious.

In any democratic country the most supreme is the people, meaning everything, structures, systems, and even constitutions exist because their purpose is to serve the people. Looking at Malaysia, the constitution says that Malaysia is a parliamentary democracy and constitutional monarcy country. So, here, we can infer that democracy must be subject to restrictions as provided in the rules of having a parliamentry democracy.

One simple example to illustrate this is by looking at how the federal government is established. It is not neccesaary for them to have the popular support of the people, enough that they rule majority constituencies that provide seats in the house of parliament. Barisan Nasional, for long years have ruled this country by not having a popular vote but by concuering majority of the parliamentary seats, with most, of small difference of votes to the opposition.

How does a popular democracy works? Well, when the head of executive or government is directly selected by the people not by the consideration of having the majority seats in house of parliament. This is one of those, to me, a restriction towards the notion of democracy. As you can see, the mojarity rules in democracy, but by this rule, the less majority rules by not having the support of the majority, interesting isn't it?

On Perak, I believe that the people are of the utmost entity of the country that should be heard, aside from that the laws, specifically the constitution must also be respected, without prejudice, in order for us to have stability in this country. Despite, in law, the three ADUNs that hopped to Barisan Nasional, by supporting them to form a government, that they are justified in doing so, as according to a case on anti-hopping law in Kelantan, still, in principle they are not justified.

They are two matters that we have to balance here. One, that assemblyman are selected to represent the people, they are conferred with this burden to decide for the people of what is best for the people, as that is the main purpose of their selection. Two, that people haved voted an assemblyman according to the party which he represents, as people decide who should be their government and of that reason it is quite absolute that they don't expect the assemblyman to decide to hopp.

Here I prefer the second point, simply because, in Malaysia, the assemblyman that we have is not good enough for them to be regarded as chosen based on thier characteristics. To be clear, my benchmark here is Shahrir Samad, he resigned from the assembly to contest as a free candidate as he had a disagreement with the government, he won, he was one of that was selected on his own account. Malaysians, particularly those candidates for election are not fit to attain this benchmark, so, the people in this country make selection based on parties available in election.

When you have all of these, how can you say that you are justified in deciding for the people's best to hopp and support another party to form a government?

On the law, specifically the constitution, I said earlier that should always be respected. Indeed, but what happen when you have a question that need interpretation of any clause of the constitution? Meaning both litigating parties are on the balance to be decided on thier behalf. At one hand, you can choose whether to live with the principles of democracy by strictly applying the rules in parliamentary democracy, which to me were established hundred of years before us and practiced until today or you about to ignore that by saying that the Rulers should prevail, instead of the people?

So, it seems to me, in Perak, and to the extent of the appeal court, the judges have more belief of the constitutional monarch supremacy rather than what should have been supreme, above all else, that is democracy. One after another, the democractic principles are fading or declared to be overcomed by some greater elements of a certain country.

The people, have seen this, if they do nothing to change this government and to return the position to how it should have been, I can say that Malaysians are stupid, because that they are blind about democracy, and I am not really sure, of the majority composititon, what do they fear really, all are equally equipped by God with brain, intelligence, hands and legs, strong body and etc...

What is there to fear fellow Malaysians or should I be specific, 'fellow brothers and sisters'?

PEMBANGUNAN FIZIKAL TIDAK SEHARUSNYA MENINGGALKAN PEMBANGUNAN SOSIAL

Negara kita sudah mencapai satu tahap dimana, pembangunan infrasruktur adalah memuaskan atau boleh dikatakan sebagai sesuatu yang boleh kita banggakan sebagai sebuah Negara membangun.

Rakyat hidup dalam keadaan yang cukup serba-serbi dengan pelbagai perkhidmatan yang diberikan, mahupun di dalam bidang pendidikan sehinggalah ke jalan2 yang kita punyai pada hari ini, memandangkan pertambahan penduduk, kini, kita dapat bahawa jalan2 kita sekarang amatlah sesak. Tetapi itu bukanlah initipati ucapan saya pada hari ini.

Tuan2 dan puan2 yang saya hormati, di dalam pembangunan sesebuah tamadun, aspek kemajuan fizikal perlu seimbang dengan kemajuan social masyarakat. Ini adalah penting kerana tidak guna kalau kita punyai segala kemodenan teapi kita meninggalkan apa yang baik yang patut diamalkan oleh setiap individu.

Ibnu Khaldun di dalam kitabnya, al mukaddimah pernah mengatakan bahawa tanda kejatuhan sesebuah empayar bermula dengan berleluasa masalah social. Disebabkan itulah, mengapa perlunya pembangunan dapat diseimbangkan dengan pembangunan social masyarakat.

Untuk memastikan bahawa pembangunan social masyarakat, apa yang amat penting adalah kepuasan dan kesenangan hati dikalangan semua golongan masyarakat, daripada ini, lahirlah perasaan dikalangan masyarakat yang tertentu, yang tidak tertekan dengan beban hidup. Apabila tekanan terhadap beban hidup dikurang maka, barulah tumpuan dapat diberikan kepada pembangunan social.

Itulah yang menjadi isu saya pada hari ini, walaupun kita bergerak maju, dengan pembangunan yang begitu pesat, masih banyak lagi, kemiskinan atau kalau tak miskin, ketidakcukupan pendapatan serta ketidak seimbangan ekonomi antara satu golongan kecil dan golongan yang besar yang lain. Ini amat menyedihkan kerana, walaupun kita bergerak maju dari segi infrastrukturnya, kita masih lagi mempunyai masalah kemiskinan dan ketinggalan, terutamanya apabila ia amat berkaitan dengan bangsa2 tertentu.

Ini sudah tentu akan mewujudkan suasana yang tegang dan tidak puas hati di dalam masyarakat dan seterusnya, menghampakan harapan untuk pembangunan social dalam usaha mencapai keseimbangan diantara pembangunan fizikal dan social. Lihat Singapura, walaupun mereka maju, tetapi mereka tidak memberi perhatian kepada golongan minority, dan golongan minoriti kebanyakannya lari ke Negara lain untuk mendapat nasib dan layanan yang lebih baik. Lihat bagaimana golongan minority mereka tertindas akibat kerakusan dan ketamakan mereka dalam mengejar pembangunan. Adakah situasi yang sama patut berlaku keapda kita di Pulau Pinang?

Ini adalah penting untuk ditangani, lebih banyak program yang bersifat, melengkapkan golongan2 yang kurang statusnya dari segi keewangan untuk bersama2 mempunyai kemampuan untuk mencapai tahap dimana mereka selesa dengan keewangan mereka dan bangga dengan golongan mereka. Ini sudah tentu mampu menyelesaikan masalah tidak puas hati dari satu golongan yang dikatakan kurang kemampuan ekonomi dengan golongan yang lebih mampu.

Sebagai hasilnya yang jelas, kita akan memperolehi masyarakat yang bukan sahaja maju dari segi fizikal, malah stabil dari soal social.

DEMOKRASI MALAYSIA: MENGAPA PATUT PILIH CALON BEBAS

Tuan2 dan puan2 yang saya hormati sekalian.

Jikalau kita lihat di dalam amalan demokrasi di Negara kita, saya berpendapat kita tidak matang lagi, lihatlah situasi di Perak, dimana rakyat, pada akhirnya terpaksa menanggung kerugian dan malu akibat daripada perebutan kuasa dari dua belah pihak. Pakatan Rakyat sibuk dengan perjuangan mereka yang menegakkan suara rakyat – entah betulkah itu yang mereka fikir dan juga Barisan Nasional yang tidak sabar2 nak memerintah sehingga tidak boleh menunggu untuk pilihanraya yang akan dating untuk menawan semula negeri perak.

Situasi begini, bagi saya adalah amat memalukan, tidakkah kita patut menghormati keputusan yang telah dibuat oleh rakyat dan tidakkah jua kita patut menghormati undang2 dan system raja berpelambagaan yang kita ada. Dalam hal ini, saya letakkan pada pihak tuan2 dan puan2 untuk memikirkannya.

Selain dari itu, lihat di dalam politik berparti di peringkat nasional, di dalam parlimen, adalah dianggap suatu yang salah apabila ahli mana2 parti pembangkang mahupun parti kerajaan menyokong apa yang dikatan oleh pihak dari bukan parti mereka, walaupun hal yang dikatakan itu benar dan baik. Walaupun Barisan Nasional mempunyai peraturan yang menyebabkan digantungnya seseorang ahli itu jikalau menyokong usul pembangkang, pihak pembangkang walaupun tidak mempunyai peraturan sedemikian, turut mempunyai sikap yang serupa.

Ini adalah sesuatu yang amat menyedihkan di dalam negara kita, walaupun mana usul tidak kira datang dari pihak mana sekali pun, kalau baik, tidak akan dapat sokongan disebabkan peraturan atau amalan ini. Sepatutnya wakil rakyat bertanggungjawab menjaga kebajikan rakyat mereka, tempat dimana mereka diundi, dengan ini suara mereka lebih terjaga. Inilah buruknya sekarang kalau, wakil kita datang dari mana2 parti.

Dalam keadaan begini adalah amat baik jika kita memilih calon bebas, kerana mereka tidak terikat dengan amalan ini. Mereka bebas menyuarakan masalah rakyat dan menyokong usul2 yang baik tanpa perlu menghiraukan kesan buruk yang akan diterima dari parti masing2. Dengan cara ini, nasib rakyat lebih terbela, dimana suara rakyat akan lebih berkuasa daripada suara sesebuah parti.

KERAJAAN YANG STABIL PENTING

Adalah lebih naik jikalau kita punyai ramai wakil bebas dengan ini, tidak kisah apa usul daripada mana2 parti sama ada kerajaan atau pembangkang, pihak bebas dapat memberi kata putus tentang apa yang baik untuk Negara.

Dalam scenario politik Negara kita ini, dimana sokongan terhadap kerajaan terbahagi dua, adalah penting untuk kita memilih calon bebas kerana kerajaan atau pembangkang mungkin mempunyai agenda tersendiri, tetapi calon bebas tidak terikat kepada kepentingan ini. Dengan ini rakyat lebih terbela apabila calon2 bebas dapat menyokong mana2 usul yang difikirkan baik untuk rakyat terutama yang dipilih dari kawasannya sendiri.

Secara tidak langsung ini akan mewujudkan situasi kerajaan yang stabil dimana, kerajaan akan berfikir panjang untuk mengambil sesuatu tindakan, serupa juga untuk pembangkang.

Jikalau situasi ini dapat diwujubkan dalam satu jangka masa yang panjang, kita akan mempunyai sebuah Negara dengan amaln demokrasi yang matang dimana, ahli2 wakil2 rakyat akan turut sama menyokong usul yang baik dan bukan apa yang parti mereka mahukan. Sekali lagi, nasib rakyat lebih terbela. Golongan minority terutama dari segi ekonomi akan mendapat manfaat, kerana dengan cara inilah wujudnya kerajaan yang lebih adil, tidak kira Barisan nasional atau Pakatan Rakyat.
